Terms of Service
Using this site or subscribing to The Fleet Brief means you accept these terms.
What the service is
The Fleet Brief is a publication of Rulebook Media LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, doing business as The Fleet Brief. It publishes regulatory-change information for trucking fleets: a free applicability check, reference pages, a public rule archive, and a paid weekly brief. We report what regulators published, with dates and links to the official documents.
What the service is not
It is not legal advice, and we are not your lawyers. Nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship. We report what regulators published; we do not recommend specific compliance actions for your operation, and decisions about your fleet belong with you and qualified counsel. The free check's results are computed from the answers you give — different answers, different results — and from public data.
Subscriptions and refunds
Subscription pricing and terms are as displayed at the time you subscribe, including any founding-rate terms shown there. You can cancel any time, in one click. Where we publish a refund guarantee, its published terms govern and we honor them as written.
Your use of the content
Public pages on this site may be linked and quoted with attribution to The Fleet Brief. Subscriber content is for your fleet's internal business use — don't republish, resell, or redistribute it outside your organization.
Accuracy, and its limits
We verify our claims against official sources and link them so you can check us. Regulations change, agencies revise their pages, and the official document we link always controls over our summary of it. Except for guarantees we expressly publish, the service is provided as-is, without other warranties.
Liability
Apart from refund guarantees we expressly publish, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Ending things
You can stop using the service or cancel a subscription at any time. We may suspend access that abuses the service, attempts to scrape subscriber content, or interferes with other users.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the change is posted here with a new effective date, and material changes affecting subscribers are announced by email before they apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
